Shop N Save Athletics Fiji hopes to attract more athletes in the second round of the Shop N Save Grand Prix Series at Xavier College in Ba next Saturday.

The Grand Prix Series which has been reintroduced after 20 years will be a platform for athletes to prepare for upcoming zone competition and the Coca-Cola Games

“It has been a long time since we had the Grand Prix Series again and it’s good we shift it to the western division in the second round,” Athletics Fiji head coach Albert Miller said.

“We want to give our west athletes some competition and this is a perfect opportunity for the athletes to prepare themselves for the upcoming zones and 2016 Coca-Cola Games.

“This is really good for athletes to have a competition where they can test and gauge themselves.

“I hope we get even more athletes because not only will it be good for us to promote the sport but also we are helping these athletes train and prepare for their upcoming competitions.”

Athletics Fiji will providing transport from Suva to Ba for those athletes wishing to take part on Saturday.
