Big Catch For Family Business

Fijian company, Seamech Limited, has teamed up with an Australian partner to continue to offer the best service to its customers.
The Walu Bay, Suva-based family owned company specialises in hydraulic sales, service and engineering facility and manufacturers of longline fishing equipment and generators.
Their partnership with KSB Australia Private Limited, will provide better services to customers, said managing director and senior technician Shayne Brodie.
The partnership was launched at the Grand Pacific Hotel (GPH) in Suva, last Friday.
The company was started by his father, Ross on June 14, 1984.
“We started with general repairing of hydraulic pumps and hydraulic became the biggest part of our business.”
Mr Brodie said the company manufactured equipment for the Tuna fishing industry.
“The business started to grow and we exported the equipment to countries like China, Australia, New Zealand, parts of Europe, Spain and America.”
Maciu Lumelume, the deputy secretary of the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism’s Industry and Business Development Division said: “Seamech Limited 32 years ago has become Fiji’s only dedicated hydraulic sales services and the engineering facility.
“Seamech is 100 per cent Fijian owned and it ensures quality service delivery to its clients.” Edited by Maikeli Seru
