Lautoka Works On Fitness

The Lautoka football side is focussing on fitness level as they prepare to meet Nadi in the second round of the Vodafone Premier League at Prince Charles Park on Sunday.
Lautoka coach Johnny William said following their 1-3 defeat to the 4R Electric Ba side last Sunday they hope to lift their fitness level in this second round.
“I believe that was our downfall in the game against Ba last weekend,” William said.
“We played the game well but fitness let us down in the last minutes of the game.”
He also mentioned that with an improved physical fitness, the team would do well this weekend.
The Sugar City side will also try to lift up the standard of their game to maintain the supporters’ trust.
“These young boys cannot afford to lose another game so early in the season because there are a lot of critics out there.
“We will do our best and improve from the mistakes we made last week,” he added.
