Fall Targets New Record

Marist Brothers High School (MBHS) Year 12 student Omar Fall aims to break the triple jump record during the Coca-Cola Games in April.
The 17-year-old, who is originally from Senegal, jumped 13.20 metres during the inter-house athletics competition at the ANZ Stadium yesterday.
The triple jump record is 14.35m set by a Lomary High School student.
“I know I have the potential to break the record in triple jump at the Coke Games,” Fall said.
“I know it will not be easy and I know that there are other athletes who are looking to do the same but I have been training really hard to achieve what I want.
“I’ve been participating in the Coke Games for the past four years and I know what is expected of me and what it takes to produce results and I am prepared to work hard.
“Challenges are a good thing and regardless of what happen whether we win or lose, we all should learn something and move on.:
“So I am taking each day as it comes and getting better slowly. I am where I am today because of the all the support from my family and friends.”
