Tight Schedule For Dreketi

Dreketi football coach Arthur Simmons wants more recovery time for his players during the Vodafone Premier League 2016.
He voiced his concerns after they have been scheduled to play four games over three weekends.
The team played Labasa last week, will take on Suva today, face Rewa on Sunday, and Ba next Sunday.
Simmons said: “We are the only team not given ample recovery time.”
However, Fiji Football Association competitions manager Amitesh Pal said the concerns should have been brought up earlier.
“Cost is the factor here. We did consult with Dreketi officials and they agreed with the schedules and we made arrangements accordingly,” Pal said.
“Fiji Football paid four trips for the team travelling to Viti Levu. We have considered their recovery time and that is why we are having one match on Friday, break on Saturday and then another match on Sunday.
“They should have discussed problems with us during the meeting. It’s too late to change things now.”
But Simmons added: “I’m also concerned that our game against Ba at Subrail Park falls on Sunday and fans will have transportation problems.
“Six players left Labasa yesterday by boat while the remaining players will make their way to Suva today.”
