Re-appointed President of the Association Dixon Seeto.

The tourism industry is bracing themselves for one of the biggest cyclones that may hit the country.

Fiji Hotels Association president Dixon Seeto said the safety of guests and staff is one of their main concerns.

Mr Seeto said there was a meeting activated by the Ministry under the leadership of the Permanent Secretary for Tourism, Shaheen Ali and precautions are been taken.

He added: “We are all working together in the industry; the airlines, the wholesalers and the customer operations are working closely together under the chairmanship of the Permanent Secretary to make sure that the outcome or whatever we do is best for the customers and the industry.”

He said they will be keeping track with weather reports and gathering all information on the Tropical Cyclone Winston but so far all hotels are taking care of their guests.
