Reactivates Disaster Rehabilitation Facility

HFC Bank has reactivated its Rehabilitation facilities to assist clients affected by the devastation of cyclone Winston. Clients in need of assistance are requested to call into the nearest HFC Bank branch.

Chief Executive, Isikeli Tikoduadua said their customers’ safety and well being is always their priority.

Mr Tikoduadua said: “Our thoughts are with those who lost a loved one and those affected by the cyclone.

“We at HFC Bank will do our best to provide assistance to ease the financial constraints of our customers affected either small or big during these difficult times.”

Under the Rehabilitation Packages, customers may request for repayment holiday and or request for additional loans under the special loan package following the announcement by Reserve Bank of Fiji. The loans are granted at an interest rate of 4.5 per cent fixed for 5 years.

In addition, HFC Bank will consider other customer needs on case by case basis such as overdraft facilities or other categories of financial assistance.

Mr Tikoduadua also advised that government has established Disaster Relief Funds account – Prime Minister’s National Disaster Relief and Rehabilitation: Cyclone Winston at HFC Bank. He added that for this account, HFC Bank has exempted all fees and charges and will pay interest rate of 1%. He has requested individuals and philanthropic organisations who intend to contribute, can deposit at HFC Bank and or even transfer through Internet Banking. Families and friends overseas can also assist by remitting funds to Prime Minister’s National Disaster Relief and Rehabilitation account with details as follows:
