McDonald’s Recognises Top Managers

McDonald’s Fiji, recognised their outstanding Managers of the Year during their quarterly meeting at the Tanoa Plaza in Suva.

The awards were presented by the McDonald’s Fiji managing Director – Marc McElrath.

The Managers of the Year awards was set out at the beginning of the year in 2015 for all managers, and three managers were to win the prizes on offer. The awards were the Restaurant Manager of the Year, Assistant/Systems Manager of the Year and the Shift Supervisor or Floor Manager of the Year.

The Restaurant Manager of the Year was awarded to Jaynesh Narayan from the Laucala Bay restaurant, Conwayne Josaia from the Suva restaurant won the Assistant/Systems Manager of the year and Amit Prasad of Laucala Bay took out the Shift Supervisor or Floor Manager of the year.

Jaynesh won himself a return trip to New Zealand with spending money while Conwayne wins a trip for two to the Shangri-la Fijian resort for two nights and Amit winning a Samsung J5 smartphone.

The winners were selected based on the overall restaurant performance, from customer feedback, service, quality and cleanliness standards, audits and employee feedback and individual performance and development. There were some tough competition amongst the restaurants and with the introduction of the Lautoka restaurant late last year, all managers had to step up and took on extra responsibilities.

This year McDonald’s is again putting up these awards, but having to recognize two managers for each category as one will be recognized from the Suva restaurants and the other from the Western restaurants. Exciting prizes are up for grabs this year which includes a trip for two to the NZ 7’s, two nights stay at the Sheraton resort, TV and Shopping vouchers.

Mr McElrath says that people are an important part of our business and our managers are the front runners that drive the business daily so they need to be recognized for their efforts.
