Top Teams For 3rd Martintar 7s

The annual event will be held on March 18-19
Top sevens team around the country will participate in the 2016 Martintar 7s at Prince Charles Park in Nadi next month.
Media liaison officer Bui Waqa said Tabadamu, Police, Wardens Gold and Green, defending champions Tokatoka Westfield Dragons have confirmed their participation.
“We will accommodate 48 teams for the two- day competition which we have been running for three years now,” he said.
The tournament will be sponsored by Vodafone, Fiji Women Crisis Centre, BLK and Digicel.
“This is part of our Cawa Methodist Church fundraising which we would highlight the theme ‘Respect Women and Children and Be a Man’”
Assistant Minister for Youth and Sports Iliesa Delana says sport is an ideal platform to conduct awareness.
He said there was a great need for collaboration of efforts from every sector in our community in creating a safer environment for the vulnerable members of the society.
Meanwhile, the Dragons received a major boost from their sponsors Tokatoka Resort at the official launch. Resort Manager Nasoni Tamani said $7136 was a part of the annual sponsorship of $15,000.
Club president Ponijese Rayawa thanked the resort for their partnership since 2013.
