After the horrific state Tropical Cyclone Winston left Fiji in, many non- governmental organisations have started to send help and relief supplies to the islands and areas that have been grossly affected.

The Rotary Club of Fiji will be going to Tailevu in the weekend to provide relief supplies and assistance to families that have been affected.

The Fiji Council of Social Welfare together with Vodafone are going to Ba, Tavua and Rakiraki today helping families in need; they left Suva at 5am on a road trip to deliver relief supplies.

Fiji Muslim League preliminary relief assistance

The Fiji Muslim League, despite being affected by the damage to its schools are out in different areas of Viti Levu providing assistance to families who have lost everything.

They have already distributed 250 food packs in Drasa, Rarawai, Varavu, Tavua, Rakiraki, Dobuilevu and Tailevu areas and are still distributing groceries as an immediate relief.

Fiji Muslim League is working together with Muslim Aid Australia and Human Care Incorporated of Sydney, Australia, in distributing food packs.

Food distribution will continue for the next few weeks after which the main focus will be providing building materials and stationery for school children.
