In a bid to facilitate clearance of imports for Customs Agents and stakeholders, the Fiji Revenue and Customs Authority has set up kiosks at the FRCA Offices.

Concerns had been raised by relevant agents that due to power outage, agents are unable to register through Customs IT System – ASYCUDA World – for clearance of goods.

FRCA acting chief executive, Visvanath Das, said: “FRCA has stepped forward to assist agents expedite the clearance process by setting up these kiosks.

“However, this is only for Suva and Lautoka at the moment. We will also set up the kiosks in Nadi and Savusavu next week. The kiosks will be manned by our Customs Officers.

“We will try our level best to assist our agents and stakeholders and strengthen the partnership to facilitate trade.”

Mr Das is urging Customs Agents and Importers to seek assistance from Customs and take advantage of the kiosk.

“For a start we have set up the kiosks at the Customer Enquiry Centre and ASYCUDA World office at FRCA Complex, Nasese,” he said.

“If agents encounter any difficulties in regards to Customs clearance, they can visit these kiosks and our officers will assist them.”
