India Flies In Help
Indian Air Force’s C17 Globemaster is transporting medicine, tents, food and other relief items from India to Fiji.

Tonnes of medicine, tents, food and other relief supplies from India will be arriving into the country today.

Indian diplomat Jagdev Rana confirmed an Indian Air Force C17 Globemaster is flying in aid.

“Instead of coming to the Nausori Airport, we decided that the Western Division is more severely hit, so it is better that our team land at the Nadi International Airport.

“This is from all Indian citizens to Fijians here carrying food supplies, medicine, water purifying tablets, tents etc. While this is the first such relief supplies, if there is a need more will be sent.”

The aircraft flew from New Delhi to Chennai and then to Singapore before heading to Nadi.
