Sunbeam Transport is providing free transportation for people who are stuck in Suva and haven’t been able to make it home to their families.

Transport manager Sundreshan Goundar started this initiative yesterday and it will continue until Sunday.

“Most people are stuck in Suva and have not been able to see their homes and families so this free transportation will allow them to go back home,” Mr Goundar said.

The reporting time is 12pm to 1.30pm at the Suva Bus Stand from where the bus will leave and travel towards Kings Road and will stop at various bus stops on the way.

There were two buses used yesterday to transport people to Nausori, Tavua, Rakiraki all the way to Lautoka and depending on the amount of passengers Mr Goundar has assured that they will increase the number of buses to help transport all the families back to their homes and loved ones.

They are using their 50-seater busses to help the people in their time of need and devastation.
