Fiji National University (FNU) UniStudio in Raiwai and Ba campuses will resume their classes on March 29.

This was confirmed by FNU vice-chancellor Ikbal Jannif last Friday.

“FNU Raiwai and Ba campuses are the only two campuses that were devastated by the Tropical Cyclone Winston.

“Extensive damage has been done to the infrastructure in the two campuses,” he said.

Mr Jannif said it would take some time to re-establish the buildings and bring in the new equipments.

“We will relocate the students of Ba campus at the Ba Civic Centre,” he said.

Mr Jannif said they would rent Ba Civic Centre and set up temporary classrooms for the students and would generators for electricity.

“The students’ studies will not be affected by this.

“We will organise Saturday classes for students and extra hours of lecture and tutorial classes will be given to students,” he said.

FNU students can contact to their respective lecturers for further information on their class announcements.

Mr Jannif also met with the Senior Management Group (SMG) to discuss and confirm the resumption dates of the University campuses and centres.
