A New Beginning For Us All: Chaplain
Methodist Church In Fiji

The Methodist Church of Fiji held a memorial service for all the victims of Cyclone Winston at the Centenary Church in Suva yesterday.

Church members were reminded of their donations for those who were affected during Cyclone Winston.

College of Medicine Nursing and Health Sciences chaplain Reverend Mosese Salusalu said it was a new beginning to all of us.

“We should regard the cyclone as an opportunity for us to change and seek God’s forgiveness for a better tomorrow,” Reverend Salusalu said.

He told the members of the church to count every problem as a gift as those problems will in a way help lift people’s lives to greater heights.

“God is reminding us once again to renew our lives and be born again as he has seen that people has started to believe in material things,” he said.

Reverend Salusalu said: “The Cyclone came and left thousands of us to grieve but to grieve means a new start to a new beginning where showers of blessings will follow and God will save your soul.”

“We need the word of God to mould us through our future and all we have to do is follow the right path. God is doing his own clean up mainly because he wants to turn our focus on him and not to material things,” he said.
