Cyclone Winston caused a preliminary $41.69 million-worth of damage to the Education Sector.

National Disaster Management Office director Akapusi Tuifagalele said the cost of damage within the Education sector is expected to increase as damage assessment continues.

“240 schools were affected after the cyclone and some of them were destroyed.”

Mr Tuifagalele said the prelimininary assessment in the agricultural sector is $102m and is also expected to increase.
