DAV College in Nabua is accommodating two students from Queen Victoria School (QVS) to date.

The college is waiting for other students from St John’s College to join them on Monday.

The students are joining other schools around the country because of the extensive damage it suffered when Cyclone Winston battered the country. QVS and St John’s in Cawaci, Levuka, were among other schools that were severely damaged.

College principal Mereoni Motukiliu was happy to cater for the students and is prepared to welcome other students.

QVS student Josaia Nakaora finds no trouble getting on well with his new-found friends.

“I feel comfortable and the students are friendly and helpful. But I would like go back to QVS when it’s up and running,” Josaia said.

The DAV College students were more than happy to have the boys from QVS.
