Handy Finance Pledge $5000 to PM’s Relief Fund

Handy Finance Fiji has pledged $5,000 to the Prime Minister’s National Disaster Relief and Rehabilitation Fund yesterday in Suva.

Receiving the cheque at the handover ceremony was Permanent Secretary to the Prime Minister, Yogesh J. Karan at the Handy Finance building.

Mr. Karan said: “This small business with a big heart has given this cheque of $5000 and we are very grateful that they have contributed to the need that Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama is working towards.

Handy Finance Executive Director Ms. Joyce Mano said: The management of Handy Group and its subsidiaries Handy Finance Fiji and PNG would like to express their sympathy and condolences for the lives that have been lost through the devastation of Cyclone Winston.

“We have three staff members who would be travelling to the west today to deliver food vouchers worth of $1000 to help disaster victims and their families.”

She added the company since its operation in 2008 has been assisting where it can, in a small but significant way such as Cyclone Evan in 2012, where they also donated $1,000.
