The chairman of Vision Investments Limited, Dilip Khatri, has announced a donation of $250,000 towards the Cyclone Winston relief efforts.

The announcement was made as Vision Investments Limited was listed on the South Pacific Stock Exchange.

Vision Investments Limited will donate $150,000, out of which $100,000 will be a cash donation to the Prime Minister’s Cyclone Relief Fund and $50,000 given in the form of relief goods.

Already 200 tents have been provided to those who have been displaced from their homes in Viti Levu.

Vision Group Foundation, an approved charitable organisation, will provide a $100,000 cash donation to the Prime Minister’s Cyclone Relief and Rehabilitation Fund.

It will be utilising funds donated to it by Vision Investments Limited in prior years.

Mr Khatri said the foundation of the company has been built on multiple generations of loyal and supportive customers – the people of Fiji. He further said that today many of our fellow citizens are in dire straits due to the havoc created by Cyclone Winston.

“At this time of great need by many of our fellow Fijians, our thoughts go out to them.”

He said they hoped this contribution from Vision, will help in a small way to the immense recovery effort already underway, and the unfortunate victims of Cyclone Winston will remain always in the nation’s thoughts and prayers.
