GHM Autos staff members are working hard to supply emergency relief kits to people affected by Tropical Cyclone Winston.

The team is led by their company director Muhammed Shaheen Saheed.

“After Tropical Cyclone Winston hit in Fiji, we prepared food packs and distributed 250 hampers of food. We distributed those food packs to people affected by the cyclone in Tavua and Ba,” he said.

Mr Saheed said for their second trip they prepared 1000 food packs, 400 cartons of clothing, 200 cartons of kitchen utensils and cartons of biscuits.

“We started distributing after Tailevu and all the way to Ba.

“We distributed those supplies to villages in the interior and to the villages on the hills,” he said.

Mr Saheed said they worked with various district officers to distribute the food packs. They are also providing education materials to schools affected by the cyclone.

This weekend will be third trip for the GHM Autos to supply emergency kits to people affected by the cyclone and they will be distributing tapeline, lantern, batteries and water exercise books.
