Fifty Roto Tanks are expected to be delivered in various areas affected by Tropical Cyclone Winston next week.

This was after Rotomould (Fiji) Limited yesterday donated water tanks to assist with water supplies to victims of the cyclone.

Each tank can hold 500 litres of water and the cost was around $16,000.

Permanent Secretary for Rural and Maritime Development and National Disaster Management, Meleti Bainimarama said some of the water tanks were expected to help curb water problems on Koro Island.

“We are trying to see that all water supplies on Koro Island are met and also food rations are delivered to cyclone hit areas around the division,” Mr Bainimarama said.

“We thank Rotomould (Fiji) Limited for their kind donation; the donation has come at the right time as we try to build water supplies around the division.

“The Government will soon substitute dried food rations with natural food products like meat so that is good for their health.”

Rotomould (Fiji) Limited managing director, Prakash Chand  said they were the main manufacturers and distributors of ROTO tanks and well known for their quality products not only in Fiji but around the Pacific as well. Edited by Rusiate Mataika
