Students should be proud of leadership opportunity given to them to lead Natabua High School.

The school’s annual prefect’s induction yesterday witnessed Robert Konousi badged as the headboy, Grace Tudreu as headgirl and Rusiate Livani as hostel head boy.

In an interview they said that they were really proud of the opportunity given to them and were looking forward to working with the entire student body in the 2016 academic year.

“I thank the Lord for the opportunity and I am indeed honoured and blessed to be leading such a great team this year,” Grace said.

“I will take this year as a challenge and perform my duties up to my best abilities.”

Headboy/Robert said he would not let his duties as a head prefect affect his studies.

“I will not let my duties come in the way of my education career,” Robert said.

“Schoolwork always come first, but I will certainly have to manage my time wisely.”

Rusiate, the hostel headboy said he was proud to be given such a responsibility.

“I am indeed proud of my achievements. Hostel life is good and I will work very closely with all my colleagues to make 2016 a memorable one,” Rusiate said.

A total of 148 prefects were inducted which comprised of 74 school prefects, 16 hostel prefects, 24 form captains, 25 assistant form captains and nine head prefects.
