Farina Happy With Progress

‘The players are excited to know that they are part of the plan to go on a tour to Brazil in April ‘
Vodafone Fijian Under-23 coach Frank Farina is happy with the progress the Vodafone Fijians U23 is making as they prepare for the Rio Olympics in Brazil in August.
Coming back from their Spain tour a month ago, the team will need to get in as much game time and preparation in before the Olympic Games.
“Camp has been very good and going really well and we are planning to stay in camp for another week,” Farina said.
“We need to improve on our team structure and also our playing style .The players are excited to know that they are part of the plan to go on a tour to Brazil in April so we are preparing accordingly.”
Meanwhile, Wellington Phoenix striker Roy Krishna is recovering well from his ankle injury.
Krishna sustained the injury on December 31 in the Wellington Phoenix 3-1 loss to Central Coast Mariners.
“Right now he cannot join the team because of his commitment to the A-League and also because of the injury he sustained,” Farina said.
“But Roy is recovering really well, we still got a long way to go and he needs to be fit and ready to play without any problems.
“Once that is sorted then he will be joining the team in training and hopefully that will be next month.”
