The Tourism Council of Nadi soared to another height as it launched its first tourist magazine last Saturday night.

The 16 page colourful magazine ‘The Tourist’ was launched by the Minister for Employment, Productivity, and Industrial Relations Semi Koroivalesau at the Tanoa Skylodge. It came during the Nadi Chamber of Commerce and Industry Business forum.

“The launching of the tourist flyers is a historic and milestone in the persistence of the Tourism Council of Nadi and in general the Nadi Chamber of Commerce to communicate with tourists globally,” the Minister said.

He said this was a positive sign of growth and development and a meaningful way in which the council can reach out and communicate with tourist globally.

“It is a sign of confidence, resilience, commitment and pride.

“It showcases your willingness to inform and share your products and services with the world.”

“We all know the importance of the tourist dollar to Fiji as a whole and to Nadi businesses.

“Tourists rely on information, meaning timely, factual and easy to access information for their survival and enjoyment whilst on holiday.

“The Tourist” will inform the global tourism family about the Tourism Council of Nadi as it provide choices, options and interest to tourists.

Mr Koroilavesau added the flyers also provide the opportunity to re-look at the current services offered in Nadi and Fiji.

“It will assist us to ask the right questions and provide the right answers that will sustain you as an organisation and the global tourists.

“Tourists also need recognition and incentives. They are our partners in the tourism business.”

The council members are around 350 businesses and the workers will benefit directly.

Nadi Chamber of Commerce and Industry president Dr Ram Raju said, “Nadi town has lots to offer to all our valuable visitors. It’s a small town with wealth of everything for tourists and locals alike. It’s never a dull moment from shopping to entertainment and beyond.”

He added all the business houses and shops in town that are included in these magazines are members of the chamber in good standing and business practices.
