So one of the radio stations is breathlessly reporting that Ro Teimumu Kepa wants Parliament reconvened.

Apart from them getting the procedure badly wrong legally, you have to wonder just what Ro Teimumu and the Opposition are thinking.

Do they really want all the Government people involved in relief work to suddenly stop everything and come and sit in Parliament? Really!

Do they want attention diverted from the urgent delivery of aid and help with recovery? Really!

For what purpose? Are they trying to suggest there is something seriously wrong that needs to be urgently discussed? The international community certainly doesn’t agree.

Just read the comments by Australian Foreign Minister Julie Bishop praising the Government’s relief efforts.

Or is this really just an attempt by Ro Teimumu to appear relevant?

Out of Labasa

Some not too smart people who we share breathing space with were trying to get the Fiji Link special $99 Labasa fare.

Except, they did not read the advert properly. The special is valid for flights only from Labasa to Viti Levu and not the other way around.

Over to Ryder

William Ryder will be playing at the Martintar 7s from Friday. He will surely try his hardest to get back that coveted spot to play in Rio.

We sincerely hope he will never again be stopped at the airport over any pending maintenance payment issues.
