Chinese Businesses Visit Winston Victims

New Era Development, Guangdong Tourism Corporation and Promotion Centre in South Pacific, Victoria’s Apple Restaurant in-conjunction with Great Pacific Travels Ltd/Prestige Carriages Ltd visited Cyclone Winston victims in Lautoka, Ba, Tavua and Rakiraki area.

New Era Development, General Manager & Guangdong Tourism Corporation and Promotion in South Pacific Centre’s Director Sam Lu and Asha Nair, Manager Fiji for Great Pacific Travels Ltd/Prestige Carriages Ltd took the initiative to visit the local communities in the rural areas where most of the affected families did not have much left after the cyclone.

Victoria’s Apple Restaurant Director Calvin Lee was very sad to see the destruction and how it impacted on the livelihood of the rural communities.

Over 700 packs of food rations, cash donations and clothes were distributed to the communities.

They are very impressed to see the way the government is supporting the communities together with the assistance from the International communities.

Sam Lu, General Manager, New Era Development, Fiji & Director Guangdong Tourism Corporation & Promotion Centre in South Pacific said: “We are here to help the people of Fiji and our heart goes out to each and everyone affected.”

Manager Fiji for Great Pacific Travels Ltd/Prestige Carriages Ltd, Asha Nair said: “These donations are invaluable and will go a long way with the affected communities as most of them have lost their livelihood.”

“Cyclone Winston has changed their lives and they need our support to rebuild.

“The aftermath of Cyclone Winston has brought tears and sorrow that will always remain in the hearts of people of our country.

“It is our duty to stand together and support each other,” she said.
