Rakesh Narayan, a 47-year-old taxi driver, was charged with one count of attempted murder and one count of act with intent to cause grievous harm. He appeared before Magistrate Charles Ratakele at the Nasinu Magistrates Court yesterday.
Narayan has been refused bail as prosecutors objected to bail since the offence was an indictable offence. The court has also issued a domestic violence restraining order against Narayan.
He remains in custody and his case will be called for mention on the March 30, at the Nasinu Magistrates Court.
