Young Fijian women that meet the Miss World requirements are invited to attend the final casting today at the Fiji Broadcasting Corporation, 69 Gladstone Road in Suva.
The casting begins from 11am where 10 young hopefuls will be selected to contest the title of Miss World Fiji 2016.
Miss World Fiji national director Andhy Blake said the Miss World contest was a great platform to build confidence, make new friends, travel and further career options.
“Miss World is not just a beauty contest. The essence of Miss World is raising charitable funds for beauty with a purpose,” he said.
“It also exposes talent as well as refining girls into confident young women.”
Women between the ages of 17 to 25-years-old, a Fiji passport holder, single and never married, no children, a clean police record with the passion to represent Fiji on the World’s largest stage of fashion and beauty are invited to attend the castings.
Miss World Fiji 2016 will be crowned on May 7 at The Grand Pacific Hotel in Suva and will represent the country at the 66th Miss World finals to be held later in the year.
The Fiji Broadcasting Corporation is managing and producing Miss World Fiji while The Grand Pacific Hotel is the official host partner, Fiji Airways is the official airline partner and Fiji Sun is the official print media partner.
