Investigations into a fire that destroyed a Nadi Police bachelors quarters in town is currently underway.
Police spokesperson Naina Ragigia said they are still trying to establish how the fire started and awaiting a report from the National Fire Authority (NFA).
She said the fire started at around 1.30am.
NFA spokesperson, Ritesh Kumar said an officer was asleep in the quarters when the fire started and managed to get to safely after a fellow officer raised the alarm.
The quick response by NFA managed to stop the fire from spreading to other Government buildings within distance.
