If construction starts by next month, Queen Victoria School can be ready as early as October.
Education Minister Mahendra Reddy yesterday confirmed that they were hoping to start construction by early April.
However, QVS students who are now studying at other schools will not be brought back to QVS this year.
Mr Reddy said by October, all students will need to focus on their examinations and the ministry did not want to disturb them by moving them back to QVS.
However, he has confirmed that QVS will be accepting the students back from next academic year.
