TLTB Helps Victims In Bua, Savusavu

The iTaukei Lands Trust Board (TLTB) in Labasa delivered relief rations to Cyclone Winston victims in Bua and Nagigi in Savusavu yesterday.
The TLTB team was led by regional manager Jope Volai, who said they donated basic food items such as rice, flour, cartons of tin fish plus kerosene for cooking at villages in Bua.
“We organised staff members to do the packing and then the team delivered the rations to affected areas in Bua,” Mr Volai said.
“We decided to help, because as God has blessed us with a good life, we should in return bless others and help those that are in need.”
Mr Volai said it was an honour lending a helping hand as Labasa was very fortunate to have been spared from disaster.
He said this was the first time TLTB was helping cyclone-affected areas in Bua and Savusavu.
Meanwhile, Mr Volai said, “I hope and sincerely request corporate bodies to keep up with the assistance to help those who are without homes and food.”
