Nasinu Pre-Season Battle Continues

Pacific Energy Kinoya Sea Eagles and Makoi Bulldogs came out victorious in the Nasinu Zone pre-season matches held at the Fiji National University ground last Saturday.
Sea Eagles beat Puma Davuilevu Knights 21-0 while Dee Cees Nadera Panthers lost to Makoi Bulldogs 13-17.
Zone coordinator Tevita Korosaya said performance and competition have improved in the second week as they expect it to only grow from there.
“You can see the game for all the teams is improving immensely and that their hard training is starting to show,” Korosaya said.
“As the game develops each week I am sure the fans will be able to witness more good games and this is good for the teams as well. Clubs are working really hard to produce a good team this year as the sport is slowing attracting new players.”
Korosaya has urged fans to come out in numbers to support next week’s competition and to boost the pre-season games.
“There is nothing like having fans cheering and supporting the teams which encourages the players and bring the best out of them,” he said.
“So I urge those rugby league fans to come out in numbers and support the players. We are also expecting a lot of players to show up next week and anticipating a tough competition .
Meanwhile, the Fiji National Rugby League worskshop at the Novotel Suva Lami Bay last Saturday was well attended by club officials.
