Car Show in Lautoka on Today

The impact from Tropical Cyclone has not dampened the spirits of Street FX Motorsport Fiji for fundraising for a worthy cause.
The club’s earlier planned Car Show may have been postponed, but surely not cancelled.
Street FX Motorsport Fiji will host its first Car Show today at Pundit Vishnu Deo Memorial School in Saweni, Lautoka. The event starts at 3pm and will finish around 8.30pm.
Club President, Moin Sahib, confirmed the event is in aid of charity for cancer patients in Fiji, people in elderly care and those people disturbed and/or affected by the Tropical Cyclone Winston.
Mr Sahib said Street FX Motorsport Fiji is a club formed late last year by the youth of today who want to bring some changes in needy people’s life.
“Our slogan reads ‘Charity of youth -through cars to reach others’,” he said.
The Club has members from Ba, Lautoka, Nadi and Suva who all have their cars ready for the show today.
By the responses they have received, Mr Sahib expects the show to be a success with a good number of responses shown earlier.
The event is open for all car lovers in Fiji.
Mr Sahib said: “People and especially youths of today are really enthusiastic when it comes to cars these days.”
He assured people who will come are going to be having a great time with lots of prizes to be given away.
Whilst this is the first event, Mr Sahib said they have not yet planned any other events for now.
“Our main focus is at the moment is this Car Show but I assure you there will be more events in future,” he said.
