Two financial donors, Entec Limited and the New Zealand government, yesterday handed over the refurbished classrooms at Naiyala Secondary School to Government.

Education Minister Mahendra Reddy and Disaster Management Minister Inia Seruiratu were on hand to express gratitude in accepting the newly renovated classrooms.

Pratap Singh, the proprietor of Entec Limited, donated more than $38,000 whilst Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of New Zealand contributed $22,000.

Mr Reddy said the rebuilding of classrooms was an everlasting gift which would definitely make an impact on the lives of more than 200 students of Naiyala Secondary School.

Mr Singh, who is an engineer, said the buildings had been made to withstand wind speeds higher than the requirements stipulated in the National Building Code of Fiji for cyclonic conditions.
