Teachers Ready To Head Back To Koro

Two teachers of the cyclone ravaged Koro High School are ready for the challenges ahead of them.
Vice Principal Salote Naiorosui, 48, and commerce teacher Abbas Ali, 39, were among the hundreds who boarded the MV Lomaiviti Princess bound for Nasau Village on Koro Island where the school is located.
Anxious for the challenges ahead of her, Ms Naiorosui said her only priority was for children to get back to school.
“I’m very anxious to going back to see the place, the school and the environment,” Ms Naiorosui said.
“For myself I’m ready to go back because I feel for the students back on the island. I know right now how they are feeling and it’s best that we the teachers that faced the trauma out there return to face whatever the situation is there now.”
Koro Island was among the parts of the country that were hit hardest by Tropical Cyclone Winston that hit Fiji more than a month ago.
