Interior

The interior of the new Carnival is impressive, this is far from being a stripped down people mover, instead it has the sort of style and materials usually found in big sedans and luxury SUVs.

Spills are bound to happen when a happy family gets in the vehicle all to go out together for picnic or whatever it may be.

The Kia Grand Carnival has easy-to-clean stainless steel technology applied to the seat fabrics for maximum convenience.

Liquid spills bead up and are easily wiped away if noticed immediately. Stains that have been pressed or rubbed into the surface are easily released with soap and water.

The instrument panel features a 3.5-inch OLED-type display and multimedia system. The steering wheel is adjustable via tilt and telescoping settings, and controls a hydraulic-type power assist system.

The system

The new Grand Carnival retains the 2.2-liter inline-four common-rail diesel engine, good for 147KW power and 441 Nm torque. The fuel tank capacity is 80 litres.

The exterior carries projector headlamps, halogen fog lamps, and glossy black radiator grille with chrome accents.

Grand Carnival features MacPherson Strut front suspension with multi-link rear suspension.

With the Hill-start Assist Control (HAC) feature, you never have to worry about rolling backwards when you start your car on an incline. Enjoy peace of mind wherever you park.

The Electronic Stability Control (ESC) automatically controls brake pressure in challenging driving situations like sudden turns, acceleration and braking.

Safety

With the front and rear parking sensors, ultrasonic sensors warn you about obstacles in front and behind your vehicle to help keep you safe and in control at all times.

When backing out of a parking spot or driveway, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert system warns the driver if it detects any cross traffic in the lane the vehicle is entering.

Be fully aware of what’s behind you by using the full-color, high definition rear view camera as your trusted guide.

Then there is the Blind Spot Detection system. This uses radar sensors to monitor approaching vehicles from the rear in the lanes flanking the driver. If a vehicle is detected, a visual alert appears on the side view mirrors.

Kia Grand Carnival, is available in the luxurious 8 seater as well as in the standard 11 seater versions, along with the full line up of Kia vehicles from Kia Motors Showrooms.
