Kean Stresses Importance of Family

Newly appointed Commissioner of Corrections Commander Francis Kean yesterday attended his first Easter service with the Fiji Corrections Service (FCS) in Naboro.
While addressing his officers, Commander Kean stressed the importance of family in their line of work.
“One of our organisations’ value is family, and I want to remind us all of a message by Mother Theresa; ‘What can we do to bring peace to this world. Go home and love your family,” Commander Kean said.
He also reiterated the need for all wardens to be physically, mentally and spiritually fit in carrying out their duties.
“I want to remind you all that we are in the business of saving lives, it’s a noble profession, if there are certain things in our lives that we need to get rid of in order to improve on our services, so let it be,” he said.
The service was attended by more than 400 officers from various prisons and staff from the FCS headquarters.
