Junior Feroz ‘The Rock’ Khan is ready to take on former amateur boxing star Ulaiasi Qalomai as one of the undercards of the Farzan-Taylor clash on April 23.

The two will battle it out in a super welterweight contest under the Toe-2-Toe promotion banner at Prince Charles Park in Nadi.

“I have been training hard for a long time for this fight and I know my opponent is an experienced boxer,” Khan said.

“I’m going to put on a great show as I’ve been waiting for this opportunity. My dad is also making a comeback after four years as a promoter so it is going to be a family affair.

The 25-year-old hard hitting Lomawai boxer has fought four amateur fights where he won three.

“I’m ready and looking forward to the day and I’ve call on all my supporters to come out in numbers to support me,” he said.

Khan also added that he will give half of his purse to the Prime Minister’s relief funds to help those affected by Cyclone Winston. Promoter Abdul Feroz said he is proud to see his son as one of the boxers in his promotion.

“This is his first pro fight and I have picked an experienced boxer like Qalomai to fight him.”
