Chinese Cultural Centre Hosts Fun Day

The Fiji Museum in collaboration with the China Cultural Centre in Fiji celebrated a Fun Day open for the public to join and learn about Chinese culture yesterday.
The event was held at the Fiji Museum and started from 9am to 3pm. Chinese art and craft, food, paintings, stage performance and choreography was on display for the public.
China Cultural Centre in Fiji’s director Xianfu Deng said he was looking forward to extending the Fijian–Chinese relationship among where everyone can learn about the culture and history of the two nations.
Centre information officer Qiong Ma said: “In August, we will have programmes in the Hibiscus festival and also we will have a Chinese week event for three days at the Fiji Museum to do performances like dances, arts and craft, painting, martial arts, etc.”
“We want to have cultural exchange programmes between China and Fiji to learn more about Chinese and Fijian culture and keeping the friendship between the two countries.”
