Government has received a cash donation of $150,000 from Coca-Cola Amatil (Fiji) Limited for the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief and Rehabilitation Fund.

Coca-Cola Amatil Fiji national sales and overseas business manager, Lawrence Tikaram handed over the cheque to the Minister for Rural and Maritime Development and National Disaster Management, Inia Seruiratu.

Mr Tikaram thanked Government for its commitment to the people of Fiji and its delivery of services during the rehabilitation period.

He commended the work of the Prime Minister for inspiring many ordinary Fijians to rebuild their lives and said that the contribution was a token of appreciation to the Government.

Acknowledging the donation, Mr Seruiratu conveyed the appreciation of Government and said that partnership with the private sector was critical in rebuilding Fiji.

“We hope we can continue to work together and ensure economic growth,” Mr Seruiratu said.
