Seaqaqa accused charged with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

Acase involving an alleged act with intent to cause grievous bodily harm will be heard tomorrow in the High Court Labasa.

Magistrate Cama Tuberi adjourned the matter for mention and a plea to be taken for the accused, Osea Navuco.

The 30-year-old from Seaqaqa is charged with one count of act with intend to cause grievous bodily harm. He appeared in the Labasa Magistrates Court yesterday.

The adjournment comes after the Northern Divisional Police Prosecutor, Inspector Subramani Naidu, asked the court for the case to be transferred to the High Court because the offence was an indictable one.

His friend suffered injuries to the jaw, was treated at the Seaqaqa Health Centre and sent home one day after observation.
