3 Women In RFMF Tour

Three women will be part of the 45-member Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) band that will take part in the 90th birthday celebrations for Queen Elizabeth II in the United Kingdom.
The three RFMF women band members will be named later, the Fiji Sun was told.
Meanwhile the band members were hard at work yesterday at the Queen Elizabeth Barracks, Nabua, perfecting their marching tunes and choreography for the May 12 to 15 event.
The band is expected to be a show-stopper during the four-day celebrations.
A “canoe party” to be led by Joji Marau, the head of School of Mechanical Engineering at the Fiji National University, will also be part of Fiji’s exhibition at the event.
The band members are expected to perform in their Number One Uniform – red and white-while a select group will be dressed in traditional costumes along with the “canoe party.”
Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama, and RFMF Commander Rear Admiral Viliame Naupoto, are also expected to attend the event.
