A 39-year-old security officer charged with the rape of an 18-year-old girl in 2012 has been remanded in custody.
Josua Colanaudolu, who is charged with one count of rape, appeared before Justice Salesi Temo at the High Court in Suva yesterday.
Colanaudolu yesterday told the court that he would defend this matter in person and needed no legal representation.
The State then asked for a further 21 days to file information and disclosures.
The case has been adjourned to April 13 to await files coming in from the Magistrates Court
Colanaudolu is also separately facing one count of murder, four other rape charges, and one count of abduction.
