He said a mufti was organised by the school with the permission of the Ministry of Education (MOE) to raise funds for the visitation.

The school collected about $3000 worth of items and the money raised was used to buy stationery for teachers and students of Bureiwai District School.

“We thank the parents of our school for the tremendous donations that was received even until the time of boarding, donations was still coming in and parents who helped accompany the teachers and students for the trip,” Mr Mara said.

“We also thank the MOE for allowing us to be part of the ‘Adopt a School’ initiative.”
