Youths Empower Yasawa-i-Rara Members

With the sole purpose to bring togetherness among its youth members, the leaders of Yasawa-i-Rara Steelers Youth Club (Suva Branch) reached out to inform other youths of Yasawa-i-Rara in Suva about their initiative.
Formed with 16 youths, the club had registered with Fiji Revenue and Customs Authority and Ministry of Youth and Sports on March 27.
The club aims to help its youths especially school drop outs, single mothers find employment opportunities and targets their inter-zone communities to help fight crime in order to have a crime free area.
Club president Ulamila Momolevu said: “Through the Yasawa-i-Rara Steelers Youth Club initiative and the Duavata community policing, five youths have been employed and five more youths are currently being processed for employment.”
Alanieta Volevole, the club’s media officer said the club wished to change mindset, attitude and help in the positive upbringing of Yasawa-i-Rara people.
Currently meetings have been held at Lot 53 Sarasara Place in Kinoya. Time of meetings will be made known through the media. The club leaders wish to thank their families and the Southern Division Police Headquarters in Nabua for their support.
