MRDC Managing Director Speaker at 44th FIA Congress

There are a wide range of speakers elaborating on the theme “Towards a brighter Fiji” at the Fiji Institute of Accountants congress this month. One is Augustine Mano.
The congress is expected to attract over 400 participants including many top local private and public sector decision makers.
Mr Mano has been serving as Managing Director of the Mineral Resource Development Company Limited (MRDC) for 7 years.
MRDC is the entity responsible for managing landowner investments.
And one of its major recent investments is the purchase and development of the Pearl Resort and golf course at Pacific Harbour.
Mr Mano was a Consultant to the Department of Petroleum & Energy on major petroleum projects in PNG.
Mr Mano has extensive skills and experience in the mining and petroleum industry dealing with business development, construction and transportation.
He serves as Chairman and Director in a number of entities, including MRDC and related companies, Hevilift Group, Insurance Pacific and Pearl Resort.
Mr. Mano has been a Director of Bank of South Pacific Limited since August 29, 2014.
He has been Non-Executive Director of Airlines of Papua New Guinea Limited since March 17, 2010.
He served as an Executive Director on various national construction, engineering and transportation companies.
Also he is responsible for the establishment of one of the few successful national insurance companies in PNG.
Mr. Mano has a Bachelors in Economics, Arts and Environmental Science from the University of Papua New Guinea.
And has a Master of Science in Petroleum Economics from the University of Dundee in Scotland.
