We Need to Take Control, Says Osea Kolinisau

No more catch-up rugby, admits skipper
Vodafone Fijian 7s skipper Osea Kolinisau has learned an important lesson from the Las Vegas and Vancouver tournaments.
The 30-year-old pointed out they cannot afford to play catch-up rugby in this weekend’s Hong Kong 7s tournament.
“We won in Las Vegas and we were positive in Vancouver but we played catch-up rugby against South Africa. In sevens we cannot play catch up any more,” he told SUNsports in an earlier interview.
Kolinisau admitted that playing catch-up rugby is not the right option to take.
“We want to come back stronger in Hong Kong. It’s like our home tournament as the people of Fiji are expecting a win whenever we play there. Also it’s an important tournament in the series.”
The Vodafone Fijians lead the World Seven Series points table with 106 while South Africa are in second spot with 105 and arch rivals New Zealand behind them with 104.
“It is very close and we need win in Hong Kong to keep our hopes of winning the series alive.”
To get there, Kolinisau says, they need to take control and score first.
