The body of the 18 year old who was swept away by strong currents on Tuesday afternoon has been found.
Valeriana Veivuke originally from Bemana in Nadroga was swept away by strong currents while attempting to cross the flooded Sabeto River on Monday.
Her body was washed ashore Wailoaloa Beach yesterday afternoon at around 5pm.
Her father, Meli Nakabu identified by late daughter’s body this morning at the Lautoka Hospital mortuary.
A post mortem is expected to be conducted tomorrow with investigations still continuing.
