Westpac Fiji has announced the appointment of Elliott Griffin as its new Head of Corporate and Business Banking.

Mr Griffin has relocated to Suva from Port Vila where he was General Manager of Westpac Vanuatu.

Prior to this, he was General Manager of Westpac Solomon Islands.

Before joining the Westpac Group in 2009, Mr Griffin worked for Suncorp and held a number of positions across that organisation including State Relationship Manager for Queensland, Commercial and Business Development Manager and small business banking operations.

Westpac Fiji General Manager Brett Hooker said: “Elliott will bring great leadership to the role, having headed Westpac’s operations in both Solomon Islands and Vanuatu.

“His experience with commercial customers will be of particular value in the Fiji market – helping companies across the country to grow, and alongside them the Fiji economy.”

Mr Griffin said: “Businesses in Fiji have faced many challenges due to Cyclone Winston and the recent flooding.

“My team and I are committed to helping business to recover and then thrive during what has been a difficult year for everyone in the country.

“I’m honoured to be here and playing a part in the recovery.”
