Fiji Television Limited Declares Special Dividend

Fiji Television Limited Board of Directors announced that it has declared a special divided end to be paid out to its share holders following the useful completion of MNL and Sky Pacific Transaction on the 29th January and 1st April this year respectively.

FTV Chairman, Apakuki Kurisiga said that the company is pleased to declare a special dividend of $0.36 per share. This will result in total outlay of $3.708 million to the shareholders.

He said FTV has received $FJ4.5million from MNL sale subject to Capital Gains Tax in Fiji. The rest will be received as and when foreign exchange is available in PNG.

Sale of Sky Pacific is subject to 90-days retainer of $FJ0.75 million and FTV has received the balance of $FJ0.966 million subject to closing stocks, prepayments and accruals as at 31st March, 2016.

He added Fiji TV has declared total divided at of $2.369m to the shareholders for the financial year 30th June, 2014. There were no dividends declared and paid for the Financial Year 2015.

In accordance with the South Pacific Stock Exchange listing rule on dividend declaration and payment, FJT shareholders registry will close on the 27th of April and dividend will be paid out on 5th May this year.
